Who we are
DigitalDrive is published by CMA Aviation Solutions, LLC ("CMA Aviation", "we"). This policy covers the DigitalDrive app for drivers on iOS and Android, and the service behind it.
DigitalDrive is used by vehicle operators, such as a charter or shuttle company. If you use the app, your employer or the operator you drive for gave you your account. That operator decides which trips you see and reads what you record.
What the app collects
- Your account. The operator's account name, your username and your password. The operator also keeps your name, your licence number, class and endorsements, and the expiry dates of your licence and your medical certificate.
- Location. While you drive a trip, the app records the vehicle's position: latitude, longitude, accuracy, heading and speed. It keeps recording when the app is in the background, closed, or the screen is off. It stops when you get off, when the trip ends, when you leave the trip's screen, or when you sign out.
- Camera and images. The camera reads the code on a vehicle to open your duty. Images you add to a fault, an accident, a fine or a fuel entry are uploaded with that record.
- What you record. Pre-trip checks, departure and arrival times, post-trip reports, faults, accidents, fines, fuel and odometer readings, and messages to the control room.
- Notifications. A push token from Apple or Google, so the app can tell you about a new or changed trip and a message from the control room.
The app does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Why we use it
- To show you the trips assigned to you, and to let the operator plan and run them.
- To show the operator's control room where a vehicle is during a trip, so they can answer a passenger.
- To keep a record of each trip, its checks and its faults, as the operator's work requires.
We do not sell personal data.
Who receives it
- The operator you drive for sees your trips, your records and your vehicle's position during a trip.
- Service providers that host and run the service for us: servers, the database and file storage.
- Mapbox draws the maps. The Mapbox library in the app may send Mapbox anonymous usage data.
- Expo, Apple and Google deliver push notifications.
Each of them receives only what its job needs.
How long it is kept
Your data is kept while the operator uses DigitalDrive and your account is open. When the operator removes you, you can no longer sign in. Your trips and records stay with the operator, as its work requires. To have your data deleted, write to us or ask the operator. We delete it, except what the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
Your choices
- You can turn off location, camera and notifications in your phone's settings. Without location, the control room cannot see the vehicle during your trip.
- To see, correct or delete your data, ask the operator you drive for, or write to us at hello at cma-aviation dot com.
Security
The app talks to the service over an encrypted connection. Your sign-in is kept in the phone's secure storage.
Children
DigitalDrive is for professional drivers. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
